White-Label Shopify App Development for Agencies

Your clients ask for features that themes and App Store apps can't deliver. I build those Shopify apps for you, under your brand and inside your client relationship, with the experience of 10 public apps behind every line of code.

The gap

When agencies bring me in

Most Shopify agencies are strong on design, themes and marketing. App work comes up a few times a year, it is usually critical for an important client, and it rarely justifies a full-time hire. That is where I fit.

  • A client needs an integration with their ERP, warehouse, CRM or a custom API
  • A feature goes beyond the theme: product builders, B2B rules or admin tools
  • You want to turn a repeated client request into your own App Store app
  • An inherited app needs an audit, an API upgrade or a new host
  • Your team builds themes and needs app capacity for a quarter, not a new hire

White-label

How white-label works

You stay the agency of record. I work as an extension of your team, on your terms.

Your brand, your client

I stay invisible to your client unless you want me on a call. Demos, emails and documentation go out under your agency's name.

NDA before details

I sign your NDA before you share anything about the client. Client data stays in the client's store and systems.

Your repositories and Partner account

Code lives in your GitHub or GitLab from the first commit, and the app is created in your Shopify Partner organization or your client's.

Fixed quotes you can resell

A fixed price per milestone, so you can quote your client with a clear margin and no surprise invoices.

Fits your process

I work in your project tool, join stand-ups when useful, and follow your code review and QA steps.

Handover or ongoing support

At the end you get documentation your team can maintain, or I stay on a monthly plan for upgrades and fixes.

Examples

Typical agency projects

ERP and inventory sync

Products, prices, stock and orders kept in sync with a client's ERP or warehouse, with retries, logs and alerts when something fails.

B2B and wholesale tools

Customer-specific pricing, quick order forms and approval flows that build on Shopify's B2B features.

Admin automation

Bulk edits, imports, scheduled jobs and reports inside the Shopify admin that save the client's team hours every week.

Discounts and checkout logic

Shopify Functions for discount, delivery and payment rules, with an admin screen the client's team can manage.

AI content at catalog scale

Descriptions, alt text, tags or product images generated from the client's own catalog, with a review step before anything is published.

Your agency's own app

A request you keep getting from clients, turned into a public App Store app your agency owns, with billing and a listing.

A senior Shopify app developer, without the hiring

Freelance marketplaces are a gamble for app work, because a Shopify app touches your client's orders, customers and payments. A weak app becomes your agency's problem the day it breaks.

I have built and run 10 public apps on the Shopify App Store, from my first app in May 2025 to the latest in October 2026. I handle the full life of an app: scoping, building, App Review, billing, hosting and support. When you bring me into a client project, you get that experience without having to manage it, and your client gets an app built by someone who maintains production apps every day.

I can also help before the project is sold. I can review a brief, join a discovery call under your agency's name or write the technical part of your proposal, so the scope you sell is the scope that gets built.

I'm based in Ottawa, Canada, on Eastern Time, which covers the working day of agencies across North America and the afternoon in Europe. For a wider view of what I build, see Shopify app development services.

The products looks much better and the store more professional, the support is great.

FAQ

Questions agencies ask

Do you really work white-label?

Yes. Your client sees your agency. I don't contact your client directly unless you ask me to, and I don't use the project in my own marketing without your written permission.

Who owns the code and the app?

Your agency or your client, as you prefer. The code is in your repository from day one and the app is created in the Partner organization you choose. Ownership of the code transfers on final payment.

How do you price agency projects?

A fixed price per milestone after a scoping call, or reserved monthly capacity if you have regular app work. Either way you know the cost before you quote your client.

Can you work with our developers and designers?

Yes. I can build the whole app, or the backend and Shopify parts while your team handles the design or the theme. I follow your conventions, branches and review process.

Can you join calls with our client?

If you want me to, yes, as a member of your team. Many agencies bring me in for the technical discovery call and handle everything else themselves.

What happens after launch?

Shopify releases a new API version every quarter and supports each one for at least 12 months, so every app needs some upkeep. A maintenance plan covers monitoring, fixes and upgrades, or I hand over documentation so your team can maintain the app.
